Rose Day - 7 February

Valentine's Week begins on the 7th day of Rose Day. The First day of the Valentine week is Rose Day. On this day, couples give roses to their loved ones. 

It is the first day of the special week when lovers greet each other with a red rose. So, basically, this is a day dedicated to the preparation and the proposal. 

If you are suffering from one-sided love, set the scene by and tell them that you love them by presenting them with a red rose on February 7, which is marked for the day of roses.

Propose Day - 8 February

Second day of the Valentine's week is for proposal! On this day, people propose their loved ones with a rose or a ring. 

Lovers on this day should grab the opportunity to propose their love for their partners. So, go ahead, open your heart and propose your loved one on the Propose Day.

Chocolate Day - 9 February

The third day of the Valentine week is Chocolate Day. On this day, the couple gives chocolate to each other.. So, after giving proposing and giving a rose to your loved ones now this is the time to have some chocolate.

It reminds them that whenever they are sad, they should just cuddle it tightly! so Teddy is given on this day. 

Promise Day - 11 February

The Fifth day of the Valentine week is Promise Day.  On this day, people promise to win the trust of their partner.  

Celebrate your day by promising to stick by each other always and never give up on your relationship.  

Take this day as an opportunity because the name of the day says it all! Make realistic promises and unbreakable bonds with the person with a pure heart.

Hug Day - 12 February

The Sixth day of the Valentine week is Hug Day.

Kiss Day - 13 February

The Seventh day of the Valentine week is Kiss Day. 

On this day, couples kiss each other. Kiss day is considered as a golden day of the whole Valentine week.

The Origins Of Valentine's Day

The Many Myths Behind the Inspiration for Valentine's Day. There were multiple St. Valentines, but it was a medieval poet who first established the holiday's romantic tradition.

The ancient Romans are responsible for the name of our modern valentine day of love. 

Valentine's Day  also called Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, Valentine, a holy priest in Rome in the days of Emperor Claudius II.  

Emperor Claudius II executed two men - both named Valentine - on Feb. 14 from different years in the 3rd century A.D. 

Under the rule of Claudius the Cruel, Rome was involved in many unpopular and bloody campaigns. ... When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death. 

Their martyrdom was honored by the Catholic Church with the celebration of St. Valentine's Day.

At the end of the 5th century, Pope Gelasius I  replaced Lupercalia (an ancient Roman festival of purification and fertility, held annually on February 15.) with St. Valentine’s Day. 

It came to be celebrated as a day of romance from about the 14th century.

According to legend, One Saint Valentine was supposedly a Roman priest who performed secret weddings against the wishes of the authorities in the third century.  

Imprisoned in the home of a noble, he healed his captor’s blind daughter, causing the whole household to convert to Christianity and sealing his fate. 

Before being tortured and decapitated on February 14, he sent the girl a note signed “Your Valentine.”
